Glen Iris

Leafy Streets of Glen Iris

The Astute Buyers Advocate Team spent Saturday exploring the streets of Glen Iris. Only 10kms from Melbourne CBD, Glen Iris is a beautiful peaceful family suburb that has everything to offer, including great public transport and freeway links.

Malvern Road has all your amenities including trendy coffee shops and kids cooking classes! More shopping is available at Tooronga Shopping Mall. Glen Iris is also home to BOUNCE, a huge indoor trampoline park for all ages.

The demographics of Glen Iris show a high percentage of older & middle aged adults living there, as well s young adults. We met a few of these young families at a local cafe called Beans Republique. The cafe is large, it's a great space to bring the family, or you could nestle yourself in a quiet corner and read a book. The staff are lovely and they serve great ice-coffees!

The types of properties you will find in Glen Iris vary from classic Californian bungalows, to large period homes and a great show of Art Deco buildings too. The quiet streets of Glen Iris are lined with trees. It is really quite a tranquil area.

There is a mix of public and private schools in the area. For the outdoor lovers, there are many walks and parks to explore, including the Glen Iris Park Wetlands.

After our exciting morning of auctions in Glen Iris, we had to treat ourselves to a coffee. We sat down at The Fox. Another lovely large corner cafe, with trendy interiors and a nice outdoor courtyard.
