Downstairs, the entry is tiled (as is most of the ground floor) with a high ceiling and curved staircase. Evaporative cooling was a welcome feature on this humid day.
The sitting room/ study is cosy and quiet, just across the hall from the powder room. Walking through the large living/dining room to the rear of the property is a functional kitchen (with island/breakfast bar) overlooking the family/meals area. The rounded window area would be the perfect place to have your morning coffee whilst looking into the shaded courtyard.
All three bedrooms are upstairs, with the main bed (WIR & ensuite) overlooking Cochrane Street. Bedrooms 2 and 3 fitted with mirrored BIRS and venetian blinds. The main bathroom is slightly dated, but highly functional with a bath and separate shower.
The upstairs area has an interesting layout with a mirrored wardrobe, which could store linen or be converted to a good-sized study nook.
Our favourite indoor feature: the rounded windows which allows for plenty of natural light. We also loved that the staircase had a rounded area at the top, which looks down to the entrance and out to the front courtyard.
Rear courtyard was paved and shaded, bordered by well placed trees which provide privacy.
Living on a slightly busier road has its perks, with IGA just across the street, Bay Street cafes and restaurants a short stroll away, and walking distance to exclusive private schools.
