Dont believe everything you read!!!

Everyday, I get asked if what the papers are reporting about the Melbourne property market is true. If you believe all the doom and gloom you read in the property sections of the papers, then you will unfortunately be misled by what's really happening in the Melbourne property market.

 

Sure buyers are more discerning about what they are spending and where they are buying, but the few auctions I go to every weekend (mind you there were almost 700 properties up for auction last weekend leading up to the Grand Final Weekend), which are of the the better quality, especially turn key properties in very sought after locations,  are still strongly contested.

Phillip - an investor - With the rental market tightening up, and rents increasing weekly, we purchased an almost new townhouse in Essendon with a great rental yield. we are now looking for his second investment property!
